aim for advocacyStart the year with a bang! At the beginning of the year, CRE professionals compete in our Aim for Advocacy Shootout to help support our legislative efforts. This day is filled with ammo, BBQ and meaningful conversations.
The appeal is simple: a day of friendly competition with 100 targets, local BBQ, bourbon and cigars, while supporting CREDA’s legislative priorities at the local level. By participating in this event, it helps to support our Government Affairs initiatives and continued advocacy for our members and industry.
Behind the beautiful February day is months of work by the chapter's volunteer Clay Shoot Committee, and the event's polish comes directly from their planning. Sponsorship is the engine: the committee designs and sells a tiered program from presenting sponsor down to station, lunch and cigar sponsorships. Recruiting partners, coordinating their signage and on-course visibility, and making sure every sponsor sees a clear return, with proceeds supporting advocacy efforts. Food and beverage is coordinated end to end with a Bearded Pig catered lunch, on-course refreshments, and post shoot bourbon and beer. It's a lot of moving parts, delivered by members who give their time because a well-run tournament reflects the caliber of the chapter itself.
